taking back my words

Last night I had to pay a visit to the doctor again. There's a flu epidemic in the office now, so I guess it was inevitable that I was going to get the bug.

While waiting for my medicine, I saw the prescriptionist lady (the people who give you your medicine are prescriptionists right?) cough and sneeze. Thank goodness she was wearing a mask, I think the clinic has more than enough germs and viruses already.

However, it also suddenly dawned upon me how brave healthcare workers are. They face people who bring all kinds of terrible sickness and germs with them everyday, and yet they never show any fear of getting illness and diseases. In fact, they offer smiles to comfort every ailing person who's come to seek treatment, and all the while knowing that they may have a higher chance of ending up just like us being ill. There are so many things in this field that can bring a person down, and yet they soldier on, with a smile ever so ready.

So to the poor prescriptionist I criticised the other day, please pardon my ignorance! T_T

Here's a salute to the brave healthcare workers around the world! <(-_-) God bless all of you!
