Don't know why, but lately I've been feeling really lethargic. I seem to be able to fall asleep at every chance I get, and still it doesn't seem to be enough rest.
I'm not taking any drowsy medicine by the way. At least I don't think the antibiotics for my acne work like that.
Before I fell asleep on the train ride home though, there were these 2 kids sitting beside me. They couldn't have been more than 7 years old I think. Anyway, they were actually making a bit of noise playing a game. You know, those weird rock-scissors-paper games with the really long rhymes and phrases in between? "Cherry cherry long cham pass" should ring a bell, yes? =) They didn't seem to care though, and they were definitely having a lot of fun.
These two kids made me wonder about my own childhood. Isn't that always the case with us grown-ups? We always look back on those days with happiness and nostalgia, because we didn't have a care in the world. Those really were the days, compared to the heavy work load and stress levels we currently face now, yes? And not only that, but we also tend to want to recapture the lost innocence of childhood too, now that we've been introduced to so many different opinions and thoughts that we have a headache just trying to choose one. Back then, there wasn't much "right" or "wrong", just whether we wanted to or not. But these days, we almost always consider right and wrong before we make any decisions, even the bad ones.
There are many valuable things that we've learnt while growing up indeed, but I think it's important that we don't forget our childhood memories as well. Not just specific events, but also our innocence and purity back then. If we can all face each other with purity and innocence, I'm sure the world will become a much better place for people to live and be merry in. =)
To cap off this long post (by my standards anyway), a little word of encouragement to everybody: Let's move bravely into the future, with freedom in our right hand and love in our left! \(*^.^*)/ (Taken from an Ayu song if you haven't noticed.)
